My most popular blog posts in 2023

Every year, I really like to look at my stats and see which stories I wrote this year were the most read. I like to see what generates the most interest, and I always find it motivating to see when my articles are read by a lot of people!

Like last year, I also decided to make a different list in French and in English, as the most popular stories vary a lot from one language to another (to read the list in French, choose “Français” in the top menu).

I will share my highlights of the year in a few days. But in the meantime, here are the articles you read the most in 2023!

5 – Hiking to the top of Poke-O-Moonshine Mountain and its fire tower in the Adirondacks

I’ve done some beautiful hikes in the Adirondacks, and my hike to the top of Poke-O-Moonshine Mountain was among my favourites, so I’m happy to see it made the list of my most popular stories! This small mountain is part of the Fire Tower Challenge, and the view from the summit is quite stunning.

4 – Camping and hiking in Fort McAllister State Park in Richmond Hill

During our road trip to Georgia in April, we camped at Fort McAllister State Park near Savannah. It was our first time camping in a U.S. State Park, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This park is historically significant, it has a lovely nature, and the campground was really quiet. One of our best camping experiences of the past year!

3 – Exploring Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs

Another historically significant state park made the list of the most read stories this year! Saratoga Spa State Park, located in Saratoga Springs, New York, is definitely unique. Besides its mineral springs, it also has lovely hiking trails.

2 – Hiking and camping in Ferris Provincial Park

The only story of this year’s Top 5 that doesn’t highlight a trail in the U.S. We loved our experience of camping at Ferris Provincial Park in Eastern Ontario. This provincial park has an interesting history, lovely hiking trails and a popular suspension bridge over Trent River.

1 – Hiking to the top of Mount Lafayette via Franconia Ridge in New Hampshire

I am happy to see that this story has been the most read of 2023. Hiking to the top of Mount Lafayette in the White Mountains might have been one of my toughest hikes ever. But it’s also a highlight of my year. This trail is often described as one of the most beautiful in New Hampshire, and I totally understand why.

Thanks again for the likes, comments and supports throughout the year!

    1. I always find it really interesting to see what people read the most! And since my blog is in English and in French, I also like to see how the most read stories differ from one language to another. Happy New Year to you too! 🙂
